Workshop: Ditching Diet Culture

How to improve your body image & find self-confidence

As we go through our life we receive messaging about our bodies, the food we eat and how we ought to improve ourselves. Women are especially targeted by ideas of what a “better you” would look like. This pressure extends even to our personalities, becoming intertwined with our physical appearance. Many women and girls I work with express their wish to improve their body image but get stuck on how they are supposed to combat their thoughts and disordered eating. In this workshop I will give you clear tools and strategies to combat diet culture and find peace with your body.

  • As a group we will learn about diet culture, the prevailing notions of femininity, and societal standards of desirability.

  • We will discuss important concepts connected to diet culture in order to expand your knowledge and give you a fact-based platform to move on from.

  • We will learn clearly defined strategies on how to achieve a better body image and peace with food.

What this course isn’t:

This isn’t a course rooted in make-believe positivity or saying positive affirmations in front of a mirror. This course is meticulously crafted to offer you genuine peace with your body and evidence-based insights, which will empower you to overcome diet culture permanently.
